Ladies Luncheon

Hello All!

Soon we’ll all be back in our cottages at Melody Bay, ready to start another fabulous season!!

At our last book club meeting in October last year, we decided to host a ladies luncheon April 30th this season. It will give all us ladies at Melody Bay (not just the ladies from the book club) a chance to get together and get caught up with our news from over the winter. We thought that in addition to discussing the book club, we could also discuss other activities everyone might like to try or continue this season.

I have already booked the clubhouse lounge for us, April 30th from 11:30-3. The luncheon will be a potluck, so bring your favourite dishes for us all to enjoy. We can start the meal around 12:30. Any volunteers to help set up starting around 11:30, would be appreciated!!! For any first timers, also bring your own plates, cutlery, drinks, glasses and napkins. This helps to save a lot of clean up after!

Please RSVP to Sharon Denley (#95) either by email ( or text (905-334-6022)……or better yet……in person anytime after the 17th!!!

I’m looking forward to seeing you all and enjoying another season at Melody Bay!

New Resort Manager Hired!!!

From Parkbridge:

Dear Customer,

We are excited to inform you that Jasmine Pope has been appointed as Resort Manager/Administrator at Melody Bay Resort! As Resort Manager/Administrator, Jasmine, along with the already very capable team we have here, will be helping ensure your questions and concerns are addressed and that we are doing our best to make sure you enjoy your time here at Melody Bay.

Jasmine has a wonderful calm, friendly, welcoming nature and is very attentive to our customer’s needs. She is local to the area and has been with Parkbridge for the 6 past seasons at a few of our properties in the Kawarthas namely Lonesome Pine, Skyline and Bailey’s Bay. Jasmine started with us many seasons ago as a front counter clerk and recently finished up supporting our Resort Managers in an IT role along with duties of a Resort Administrator at Bailey’s Bay. We are excited that Jasmine has accepted the opportunity and challenge to lead the Melody Bay team as she develops in her new role and furthers her already successful career here at Parkbridge.

She is excited to work with all of you and looks forward to connecting in the near future, whether it be by phone, email or in person. We encourage you to book an appointment with Jasmine and help us make her feel welcome and up-to-date on all the latest events happening here so that her transition to Resort Manager is as smooth as possible. Please keep in mind that Jasmine may take a few days to respond to emails and non-emergency phone calls while she is getting settled into her role, so we kindly ask for your patience as he looks to best serve all of you in the Resort.

You will also most likely see Jasmine out walking around the property – so please make sure to say ‘hi’ and feel free to introduce yourself. Jasmine will be starting her regular office activities the week of April 1st.

Director of Operations

Well!!! It’s not spring yet!!! See photos.

I guess I was being optimistic about good weather being around the corner.

Rob and Jasmine burst my bubble by sending the below pics!

From Rob and Jasmine:

I was told by Parkbridge Head Office there is no one at the administration building yet, so it is locked, no access.  They also told me administrators such as JJ have NOT been hired back for the season yet….and they are still looking for a replacement for Doug.

The lower level roads were passable but COVERED in super slippery shear ice.  Snow coverage looked about average for this time of year, lot of it melted by overnight freezing as ice.

Lake not completely frozen over, water going over the dams, open water in the current near all dams in the area..
